This is a variation on a house built on the coast of Maine. It was originally designed as a vacation home but is easily adaptable to year-round living. Wall construction details include 2 x 6 framing with exterior foam sheathing creating a state-of-the-art energy efficient shell. It would also be possible to add a wood or gas stove. There are a number of ways to enlarge or adapt the house to accommodate different functional needs.
